The 2 to 12 Approach: Building Authentic Connections
Authentic Support operates on the innovative 2 to 12 approach. In the initial two months, our focus was on cultivating an authentic relationship by engaging in enjoyable activities together. This period is pivotal to establishing a strong foundation, allowing both parties to determine if the partnership is the right fit. After these initial two months, we check in with each mentee to ensure satisfaction and offer the option to continue with the selected mentor or explore someone with different experiences and skills.
Our Belief: Nurturing Growth
We hold the belief that mentors should undergo a 3-monthly Progress Report. This process helps to not only hold us accountable but also means we can provide key information to Therapies and Support Coordinators.
This approach will help to align your support team and accelerate your personal growth and independence.
